“I never travel without my diary. One should have something sensational to read in the train” - Oscar Wilde

I see writing as my way to express, not to impress. Writing can solidify my thoughts into words, my imagination into poetic lines. I must watch it, observe it.  I must allow everything in—thoughts and imagination, there are no barriers. Like when you travel, you see everything as one. There are no barriers within places, within states, or perhaps within strangers.

Yes. Because, it’s your travel journal that will take you back to those times.  Each time you read your travel journal, it should be as if you are going back to those good times for the very first time.

No. It’s not the trains that will give you a direction to take—even the one towards happiness—because you are the one who should choose the track first. And yes, a true traveler knows that ‘happiness is a journey, not a destination’. A travel journal might not give you a direction to take, but it clearly shows you the journey you have been through.

No. It’s not the pictures or photographs that will give you more than a thousand words to remind you about your travel memories. Pictures can be very deceiving yet subjective. A travel journal might not give you something beyond words as pictures do, but it is very personal, a travel journal is a silent witness when you go deeper into your solitude with no distractions, away from everything, miles away from home.

As for me, traveling is like writing, you give yourself a break into a new phase far from anything that compromise your true state of freedom; you are a free being, completely naked and should be true to yourself.

Without traveling, you can’t see the world. Without writing, you can’t feel the words.

An aisle i walked down that day, I’ve written some words about you. About us.
